FAQ’s
How long do permanent Make-up and freckles last?
The treatment is considered semi-permanent and will not wash off, however, it will fade over time and may need a touch-up every 12-18 months. Frequency of touch-ups depends on a number of factors including: the pigment color used (lighter colors fade faster), lifestyle (sun exposure), excessive exercise, and if any chemical peels come into contact with treated areas.
Please note that final results can not be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates.
Applying sunscreen on treated areas will greatly prolong the longevity of the procedure.
Who is permanent make-up for?
For everyone, no matter their gender!
What about freckles?
Freckles are individually placed, the ink is deposited into the skin via handpoking. Because it is done with the same ink as permanent make-up, the same rules apply here.
How painful is a pigmentation?
The discomfort is relative as everyone has a different level of sensitivity. Special anesthetic can be applied before the procedure. Every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the duration of the procedure. Like with any tattoo mild discomfort and slight swelling should be anticipated.

What does an appointment look like?
The average procedure time is approximately 3 hours including consultation and mapping/pre-draw.
After you’ve arrived and gotten comfortable, there will we a short consultation, where we talk about the desired colour and shape, all while considering your personal style and face shape.
Then we start mapping your freckles. I use several instruments to achieve the best results. Once we’re both happy and satisfied with the mapping we can start.
If you wish, I will be happy to apply an anaesthetic ointment to the treated area. Anaesthetics can cause slight swelling, which is why it is important to first map the shape and then to anaesthetise.
Hygiene is particularly important for me.
Therefore, of course, I only work with sterile material which is disposed immediately after the treatment.
The colours I use are all REACH-compliant and are free of heavy metals. In addition, the colous are vegan, nickel-free, free of PAH and NDELA (both proven to have a strong carcinogenic effect).
Once the colour has been mixed and the needle attached, we can start with the actual treatment. Procedure time can vary depending on each client’s skin type, usually between 30 minutes and 2 hours. I schedule a total of 3 hours for all appointments. This allows for a stress-free appointment.
For you that means, that I’ll have you sit up again and again, give you a mirror and together we check and adjust the symmetry and colour intensity during the teatment. Should the treatment take a little longer because of this, it’s completely fine. It is of utmost priority to me, that we are both happy and satisfied with the finished result.
As soon as the treatment is complete, I will explain the healing process and aftercare to you, and give you the right care for your pigmentation.
How do i care for my fresh pigmentation?
I will go through this with you at our appointment, but you also find all information again here
Can i wear makeup after the procedure?
No! It is essential that you keep the area as clean and free from bacteria as possible, therefore, you can not put any makeup or skincare on the treated area for 10 days. On areas that were not treated you can wear makeup as usual.
Are you a queer/black, indigenous friendly space?
Everyone is welcome here, I want to create a safe space where all feel comfortable to approach me for a design. Especially those who may otherwise feel excluded from attending other studios within the industry.
